Book a Flight

I acknowledge that temporary membership is valid for 1 (ONE) day only being the date indicated on this form and if accepted by the Club my temporary membership shall be subject to the following terms and conditions:

1. I undertake to pay the fee pertaining to this application upon signature hereof, which shall entitle me and/or the aforementioned minor to an instructional flight and the use of the social amenities available at the Club.
2. I acknowledge that gliding and its associated activities are potentially hazardous and I and/or the aforementioned minor voluntarily assume all risks as may be involved and do so whether or not such risks have individually and/or expressly been drawn to my attention.
3. I agree to abide and be bound by the rules and constitution of the Club a copy whereof is available to me at my request. I further agree to utilize the facilities at the Club in a manner directed by any of its instructors or duly authorized persons.
4. I agree that neither the Club nor any of its members whether acting on its behalf or in their personal capacity shall under any circumstances whatsoever, whether as a result of negligence or for any other reason, be responsible for any damage or loss to me, my family and/or dependants while engaging in the sport of gliding and its associated activities. The Club and/or the aforementioned person shall furthermore not be held responsible for any personal injury that I or the aforementioned minor may suffer whilst utilizing the facilities of the Club including being flown as a student passenger in a glider irrespective of how such injury or loss may be caused and I expressly waive any claim which I may have arising therefrom.
5. I indemnify the Club's instructors and members against all losses, damages or expenses which I, any member of my family or dependants may suffer or be called upon to pay, as damages or otherwise, arising from any act or omission by them or myself in connection with the use of any aircraft, gliders or other facility and I agree that this indemnity shall apply to and include any legal costs which the Club, its instructors and members may be called upon or required to pay relating thereto.
6. I am aware that the Club and its members cannot guarantee the nature or duration of any flight undertaken by me as an introductory student.
7. I acknowledge that I have been made aware through this document or in person that the Club is an affiliate of the Soaring Society of South Africa and operates in accordance with its rules as approved by the Director of Civil Aviation as an Aviation Recreation Organization and that the aforementioned waiver and indemnity shall apply equally to these organizations as if repeated herein and absolves them of any blame in the event of a claim for injury or death arising as described in the preceding paragraphs.
